Grants And Exemptions

 

The grants and exemptions system at the Arab College of Applied Sciences

 

Criteria for applying for grants and exemptions in the college:

– The student must be registered in the college during the semester in which the grant or exemption request was submitted.

– The student should have a cumulative average of 70% and above.

– The student should be of good conduct and behaviour.

– The reasons for applying for the grant or exemption must be convincing to the Student Affairs Department.

– Attach the official papers that prove the student’s need.

– Attendance of the student and submitting the application in person to the concerned employee.

 

Exemptions offered by the Arab College of Applied Sciences

Exempting the outstanding students

– 50% exemption from tuition fees for students who ranked first in all majors, provided that the semester average score is not less than (90%) and the cumulative average is (85%) without failing in any course.

– 25% exemption from tuition fees for students who ranked second in all majors, provided that the semester average is not less than (85%) and the cumulative average is not (80%) without failing in any course.

Exempting the children of martyrs and their families or their wives

– An exemption of (25%) from the tuition fees for the sons and wives of martyrs after bringing a proof of this from the Martyrs’ Families institution.

– An exemption of (25%) from the tuition fees for the children of prisoners and their wives when they bring a letter from The Ministry of detainees and ex-detainees’ affairs stating the continuation of the detention.

– Take into account the introduction of the general conditions for exemptions to ensure the continuation of the exemption.

 

Social Affairs Exemption

– An exemption of (25%) from the tuition fees for students who benefit from social affairs after submitting a proof of this from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

 

Exemption for memorizing the Holy Qur’an

– 25% exemption from tuition fees for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, provided that the student is subject to oral exams, taking into account what is stated in the general conditions for exemptions.

 

The Fraternal Exemption

– 50% exemption for the siblings studying at the Arab College of Applied Sciences, benefiting from it who has the lowest fees.

– 75% exemption for the three siblings studying at the Arab College of Applied Sciences, benefiting from it who has the lowest fees.

– The student’s wife or children.

 

 

Exemption for people with special needs

– 25% exemption for students with special needs studying at the Arab College of Applied Sciences, after bringing the original and certified medical reports showing the nature of the disability and attaching them to the exemption request.

 

College loans

The Student Affairs Department at the Arab College of Applied Sciences works through direct coordination with the Student Lending Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement the university loan procedures provided by the Ministry to college students through the following procedures:

– Preparing and processing loan applications and ensuring that they meet the conditions.

– Preparing documents and statements and submitting them to the Student Lending Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education.

– Carrying out loan implementation procedures and transferring the loan value to the student’s financial file.

 

Conditions for obtaining a higher education loan:

– The student applying for the loan should be a regular student at the college.

– The student applying for the loan should not be subject to an academic warning, i.e. his/her semester average is less than 60%.

– The student applying for the loan should not have obtained an exemption or a full scholarship from any other party.
