1. Transform traditional maintenance and repair shops for air conditioning devices in the southern region into utilizing electronic work tools.

2. Prepare a qualified workforce that will play a fundamental role in the qualitative leap in the field of maintenance by granting them a diploma certificate in this field.

3. Continuously keep up with modern technological advancements by sending technical missions abroad to attend stimulating and developmental courses in this field.

4. Alleviate the suffering of consumers in need of maintenance by repairing devices instead of replacing them, thus contributing to cost reduction.

5. Create job opportunities for graduates by supervising existing maintenance shops or establishing new ones.

6. Convince workshop owners of the feasibility of employing qualified teams to supervise air conditioning maintenance work through conducting workshops that raise awareness about its importance.

7. Support the local economy by providing employment opportunities for bachelor's and master's degree graduates, through working as academic staff in the college.

Advantages of the Program:

Idea of the project is based on establishing a Diploma Department of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering at the Arab College of Applied Sciences. This department will be new to both the college and the geographical area. The program aims to meet the needs of mechanical workshops and repair shops for air conditioning devices that lack scientific qualifications in this field. This deficiency has resulted in difficulties in dealing with modern technical devices and equipment, often leading to the replacement of faulty parts with new ones.

The program focuses on preparing and qualifying professional students in the theoretical and practical aspects of air conditioning and refrigeration device maintenance. Therefore, the project requires the purchase of maintenance equipment and the recruitment of a team to conduct the training process.

Through this specialization, assistance will be provided to workshop owners by supplying them with qualified experts who possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical components of these devices. This will enable them to repair the devices instead of replacing them, resulting in cost savings for consumers who rely on these workshops and laboratories.

The project's idea evolved from the market's need for these experts, based on a survey conducted by the Development and Quality Department at the college. In light of these circumstances, the Arab College of Applied Sciences seeks to implement this project to alleviate these problems. The project aims to achieve the following objectives:

1. Enhance the efficiency of maintenance and repair shops for air conditioning and refrigeration devices, transforming their performance from traditional to modern electronic methods.

2. Contribute to the training and qualification of technicians to meet the technical needs of workshops by granting a diploma certificate in this field.

3. Continuously keep up with modern technological advancements through coordination with relevant institutions such as universities and technical institutes. This includes sending training missions and hosting training teams to acquire additional modern techniques in this field.
